The Department of History and the Social Sciences is located entirely in the Callaway Academic Building on the LaGrange College campus. The areas of study that belong to this department include English Writing and Publication Studies, History, Modern Langauges, Political Science, Religion and Philosophy, and Sociology and Anthropology.
